With
more than 63 years of existence, Suiza Dairy
maintains itself at the vanguard of the
dairy industry of Puerto Rico. This leadership
is a consequence of discipline and corporate
vision that anticipate changes in market
and consumer tendencies and are able to
react positively to them.
Suiza Dairy
was the first dairy plant in Puerto Rico
to obtain approval from the US Federal Food
and Drug Administration (FDA) to process
Grade A milk.
A large
investment in infrastructure and equipment,
which started some years ago, allows Suiza
Dairy to establish a modern plant with a
production capacity of 648 MT per day (665,000
quarts).
Finding
alternatives in the face of a decreasing
tendency in the consumption of fresh milk,
Suiza dairy successfully enters other market
segments of dairy products and launches
the Suiza American Cheese Slices, for those
who consume cheese in slices as a source
of calcium instead of milk.
