The Empresa Agrícola Sintuco S.A.A. started as a branch of Azucagro S.A., entity that possesed 45.29% of its social capital through their subsidiary the Complejo Agroindustrial Cartavio S.A.A. The society was forged as a result of the change in the business model of the Cooperativa Agraria Sintuco Ltda.. until its conversion in anonymous society on March 11 th , 1997.

On May 3, 2007 the Gloria Group through its subsidiary Corporación Azucarera del Perú (COAZUCAR) acquired from Azucagro S.A. 45.29% of Sintuco's share of stock and, on that same date, also acquired 52.2% of the stocks of the Complejo Agroindustrial Cartavio S.A.A., who had 14.49% of Sintuco's stock. With the Cartavio's acquisition, the Gloria Group obtained the majority of stock of Sintuco at a 59.8%.

Sintuco has at its disposal a brute area of 1 414 hectares and a productive area of 1 285 hectares , 1 158 of them being sowed to the date. Sintuco's production levels reach in between 110 000 and 120 000 metric tons of sugar cane per year, selling 100% of this to the Complejo Agroindustrial Cartavio S.A.A.
