Tableros Peruanos S.A. (TAPESA), is a company founded in April, 1973. It is initiated as part of a project promoted by the Technical División of the Center of the Agricultural Sugar Cooperatives of Peru (División Técnica de la Central de Cooperativas Agrarias Azucareras del Perú - CECOAAP), with the participation of important sugar cooperatives such as Cartavio S.A.A., Casagrande S.A.A. y Laredo S.A. TAPESA initiates its activities on February 27, 1977 with the fabrication of agglomerate boards with the brand "Maderba".  

The object of this society is the fabrication of boards ussing bagasse, sub product of the sugar cane and pine wood agglomerated with resin as prime material. The company is located at the northern part of Peru, in the Laredo district, La Libertdad department. This location was strategically chosen because of the proximity to the main sugar processing companies in the country.  

The Gloria Group, as owner of both Cartavio and Casa Grande, is the major stock holder and therefore, controler of the society.  

TAPESA has a solid position in the peruvian market of construction and fabrication of furniture, handcrafts and advertisement. In accordance with the surface there are different types of boards, such as: Maderba SP (unsandpapered board), Maderba Plus (sandpapered boards) and Maderba Melamina (boards applied with malaminic panels), succesfully adapting to the demands of the market with a wide variety of thicknesses in their boards, going from 4mm to 45mm, and a highly qualified personnel.  

TAPESA is the only national company dedicated to the fabrication of agglomerate boards, competing with imported products mainly from Chile and Ecuador.
